March 2025 Summary

Summary of the month

Here is a summary of March. Although it is painful to have few deliverables, I will be lenient with myself and tell myself that it can’t be helped.

However, I feel a little more satisfied because I was able to do some work related to my illustration activities in March, such as mysteriously adapting my blog to English and adapting X (Tweitter) to English because I almost never post in English anyway.

Number of days the painting was touched 15 days (or so)

I took a bit of a break from my usual drawing in March, so the first half of the log is fluffed up.

The margin of error is probably +/- 1 day.

I didn’t do any drawing, but I did do the practice itself.

Practice.

As I mentioned in the article, I was drawing feet. Foot.

The eye catcher is the default, this one. It’s a foot article, so it should be a foot.

I was drawing a foot.

I have been drawing feet for several days, and I feel that my understanding of the foot structure has improved somewhat, perhaps because I have been practicing.

It is still impossible for me to draw feet freely, so I still have to take self portraits or find reference photos to draw them, but I am happy that I am able to draw them more like feet than before.

I am also practicing backgrounds or landscapes for a change.

It looks like a photographic reproduction, but from a distance it has a pretty good atmosphere.

It is not so good when enlarged, though.

The rest are a few rough drafts that can’t even be called practice. I tried drawing faces, feet, and eyes. Probably the kind of thing everyone does for comfort. Everyone does it ……, right?

Completed illustration

It is a little awkward to say that I have completed it, but March has an anniversary (?) called Miku Day. It was March 9.

I was drawing a chair that day, and I saw many cute Hatsune Miku on Bluesky’s TL, and I was so envious that I posted a Hatsune Miku just because I wanted to draw one too and had the energy to do so.

This is the only finished product.

It took me about two hours from the time I had the idea to the time I submitted it as a finished product, which was the shortest time for me.

The quality of the illustration is still not good enough, but it was fun to draw it just for the sake of momentum.

Number of times you went out for a drink

Maybe five times. Maybe.

Progress on goals set at the beginning of the year

Three goals that were partially replaced last month.

The following three goals

  • Reduce the time to complete one illustration
  • Complete at least two illustrations in one month
  • Aim for triple-digit number of likes

I was not able to move in the way I wanted to move toward my goals, so I have made zero progress. Sad.

But I think I can draw two pieces next month, so I would like to do my best.

If I can go there, I would like to draw as many pieces as possible, not just two.

Bluesky situation

The usual.

I’m glad to see the number of followers is slowly increasing.

What I want to do in April

I’ve come up with a few new things I want to do, and I thought I would implement these as well.

What I am going to do is to make drawing a habit.

I have been writing a lot about it, but the amount of text has become unexpectedly large, so I will summarize it in a separate article.

I’m going to make it a habit for now.

summary

In March, we were able to touch the illustrations there, but the results were not up to par.

However, I have many positive factors such as the fact that I was able to complete one illustration in about two hours, keeping the blog updated once a week, and maintaining my motivation for illustration, so I feel that overall, it was not a bad month.

When I reread last month’s summary article, I got the impression that I was in a bad mental state, so I reflected on the fact that my mental state also comes out in my writing, more or less.

I can’t help but feel sorry for myself, and I feel that such depressing articles are necessary from time to time.

For me.

In any case, I have new things I want to do from April, and I also want to complete the illustrations for correction, although I am not sure if I will be able to do so, and I have found a pattern I want to draw.
